Vehicle registration renewal: $65 CVP service fee.
Commercial registration renewal: $75 CVP service fee.
Out-of-state registration: $250 CVP service fee. With smog appointment coordination: $275.
Vessel registration services: $150 CVP service fee.

How It Works
1. Tell us about your vehicle
Choose the matching service above. Let us know whether the vehicle is currently registered in California and whether it is personal or commercial.
2. Review documents and fees
We check the transaction, identify any missing requirements, and explain CVP service fees separately from DMV charges.
3. Complete eligible registration
Bring or mail the required documents as directed. Once requirements and payment are complete, we process eligible registration and provide the applicable items. Mail-in service takes longer.
California Vehicle Registration FAQs
Can I renew my California vehicle registration without going to a DMV office?
Yes. California Vehicle Plates is an authorized California DMV business partner that can process eligible vehicle registration renewals at our Redondo Beach office.
Can I receive my registration items the same day?
Eligible in-office transactions may be completed during your visit when all documents, fees, and DMV requirements are satisfied. Smog, insurance, record issues, or additional review can delay completion. We confirm what applies to your vehicle.
What should I have ready for a renewal?
Have your renewal notice or prior registration card, plate number, and VIN available. If a notice or card is missing, we can review the alternatives. We’ll confirm any required smog, insurance, and other supporting documents before processing.
Do you process driver licenses, ID cards, or custom plates?
No. We only process vehicle and vessel registration transactions. We do not issue driver licenses, identification cards, or specialized custom plates.
